Why we’re doing this

This picture is one of our founders Robert and his father Frank. Frank had a stroke in 2018 which altered the family's trajectory drastically. This journey took them from a hospital ICU, to a rehab facility, home health, and finally to a Veterans home in Eastern Kentucky. Over four years of care the family was left with a long list of follow-ups, tasks, and endless questions, all while they juggled raising a family and working full-time jobs.

The tipping point that spurred the team to launch a company came in the final days when they encountered one of the biggest barriers in our healthcare system: a "narrow network." The hospital dragged out the discharge process because the family wanted to have Frank closer to their home and not use the ‘preferred’ hospice provider. Though they didn't explicitly state that there was only one option, the roadblocks were infurating during his final days. He never made it to hospice.

If people who spent their entire career in the healthcare industry could experience this much frustration and lost time, there had to be a better way.
